After being discharged from the USAF where I worked as an electronic technician, I worked on my father’s farm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for a year and then joined the Glenn L. Martin Company (Now Lockheed Martin) as a Quality Control Inspector. After working in the factory in Baltimore for a couple of years I was sent to Holloman AFB in Alamogordo New Mexico where I worked in flight test, still as an inspector, on the Mace Missile System. I then moved to Cape Canaveral Florida when they transferred the flight test program there. After completion of the Mace Program, then worked on the Titan II, Pershing, and Titan III programs, at first continuing in Quality Control, then Reliability Engineering, and then into Contract Technical Requirements (Specification Writing and Control). I then transferred to Vandenberg AFB in California on the same program. While living in Santa Maria I received my Associate of Arts Degree from Hancock Junior College in 1968 and my Bachelor of Arts Degree From Chapman College, now a University, in 1970 with a major in Business Administration. At this time I began working in Contract Administration. I then joined Litton Industries in California where I worked on the LHA, DD963, and DD967 Programs. Later transferred to Mississippi where I became a Subcontract Administrator. Left Litton and joined Bell Aerospace in New Orleans as Subcontract Manager for the LCAC Program. Left Bell Aerospace to become Procurement Manager (Including subcontract and purchasing) for then Lockheed Gulfport Marine. Later joined RCI as Material Project Director a position I held until the contract was completed. Moved to Arizona in 1996, Retired for about a year, then after obtaining my Real Estate Salesman’s license, joined Integrity Realty in 1997 which Joel Lawson was just forming. I had bought my home in Snowflake from Joel when we moved here. For my efforts Joel was kind enough to permit me to participate in the ownership of Integrity Realty making me a junior owner. I have since received my Broker’s License and am an Associate Broker of the firm and the Branch Manager of the downtown Snowflake office.
